No More Restless Nights?

As a member of Influenster, I was given a free sample of #Zzzquil Sleep-Aid Gel Tabs to review. I have at least a few sleepless nights a month and was looking forward to trying out this product. I don't typically use sleep-aids, but was open to trying it due to lots of extra stress in my life recently... I welcomed the idea of help getting a better night's sleep. The first thing I noticed about the gel tabs is how tiny they are. Much smaller than your typical Nyquil tabs. I like that. It also serves as a reminder that it doesn't have all the pain killing ingredients in it. I waited until the perfect opportunity to take the gel tabs. A night where sleep was nowhere to be find. Hours of restlessness and not even having droopy eyes... but knowing that I had to be awake & alert in the morning. I didn't know what to expect other than hoping that I'd fall asleep soon... but I do know that it wasn't a magic pill for me. I was awake for at least another hour following taking Zzzquil. I did have TVs/radios off and was comfortable in bed... no lights on, no distractions, etc. But I could NOT fall asleep. I just laid there... and kept laying there. Obviously, I eventually fell asleep, but until then I was saddened that I didn't fall straight to sleep. It may have actually made falling asleep more difficult because then I was thinking about how it wasn't working but I needed it to work... Despite not being able to fall asleep at a reasonable hour, when I woke up in the morning I did not feel groggy or sluggish. I was actually EXPECTING to feel bad in the morning because with any OTC night time medicines I take, typically "the day after OTC hangover" is pretty bad for me. So I was very glad that none of that happened. Since the first time I took Zzzquil I've tried giving it a couple other chances in hopes that maybe the first time was just a fluke. Unfortunately, for me, the Zzzquil Sleep-Aid gel tabs do not meet my needs. Although they don't work for me, I can't say that they don't work at all... just that they don't work for me. So I would suggest that you try it for yourself to see how your body reacts to it. Maybe you'll have better luck than me.

It's My Thing! - (Slim Fast review) #itsyourthing

I recently received a box of SlimFast products from Influenster for the purposes of my review. Being that I'm up for losing weight (stress and a knee injury have caused me to gain unwanted weight), I was game for trying these products. Who wouldn't want to lose weight by eating delicious food?! These are the products I received: Cinnamon Bun Swirl Drizzled Crisps, Creamy Chocolate Shake, Sour Cream & Onion Baked Crisps and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bar The first thing I tried was the Creamy Chocolate Shake... because I'm HORRIBLE about eating breakfast and know that the nutrition is important. I found the chocolate shake to be tasty without being too sweet. It satisfied my hunger without feeling too full. There was a slight chalky feel to it, but all in all I thing it was great. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Next I tried the Sour Cream & Onion Baked Crisps because I am ALWAYS craving salty things. This was a great way to meet my craving without overeating. It was also a lot less seasoned than regular potato chips. I found the sour cream & onion flavor to be a lot more satisfying than regular chips. The chips themselves did taste different than typical chips, but not in a bad way. Just different. These definitely get 5 out of 5 stars! I eventually was needing to have a meal on the road and took the Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Bar with me. Although it's a small bar, it definitely fills you up. I did not feel hungry afterward. Also, as I said above, I'm always craving salty things... so I was extremely happy to have the sea salt in this to balance out the sweetness of the chocolate. A unique and tasty meal replacement without feeling heavy afterward. 5 out of 5 stars. Finally I had the Cinnamon Bun Swirl Drizzled Crisps. Very rarely do I crave sweet things... but when I do, I don't want them to be TOO sweet. And these crisps found that balance. They were a little too dry for my liking (I like moisture in my sweets), but when it comes to flavor they were good. I would give them a 3 out of 5 stars, only because I don't like dry sweets. I recommend SlimFast products to anyone that is looking to live a healthier life style or lose weight. Balance out the healthier meals with cardio & weight training (or your preferred method of exercise) and you're well on your way to losing weight and feeling great!

Cool Moisture Humidifier #HumidifyMe

I'm definitely one of those people that actively says that humidifiers are a necessity, ESPECIALLY in bad weather. So when Influenster told me I was going to receive one for free to try out I was VERY excited to compare it to the one I had been using. Influenster sent me the Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier. I decided to use this one in the office and compare it to the usage of the one that I've been using at home. This way I also had input from others in the office on how they felt it made a difference. We first started actively using it because the building people kept forgetting to turn on the building heat and we were freezing... so we tested it's ability to moisture the office to levels that would make it feel warmer. This helped minimally, but people from outside our office always noticed the difference when coming in to discuss things with us. About 1 1/2 months ago the cold virus started making its rounds in the office staff. I believe it is currently on round 3 and some people were down for a couple days as it was an especially nasty attack. The people that worked in our office did not catch the cold at all! After the first round we thought it was just coincidence... but when it started going around again and again, we rejoiced in the fact we weren't getting sick! Prior to me getting the Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier, I had got deep congestion that was rattling me. Obviously the humidifier I have at home wasn't fully doing its job. Although it still took me a while to get rid of the congestion after starting to use the Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier, the difference was noticeable between when I was at home & when I was at work. I now tend to turn on the one in the office more than at home when the congestion starts to bother me! There have been times when we've been too busy in the office to remember to turn on the humidifier. Without a doubt, those days we notice that we're feeling a little "off" or that it feels colder in here than usual. Sometimes we don't even realize the correlation between how we feel and the humidifier until it comes to the end of the day. Then we regret not turning it on for the whole day. Me and my office LOVE using the Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier! It has made this winter so much more comfortable for all of us.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Perfect Legs

I've never used any leg "make-up" in the past, so when I was told I'd be receiving Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs cream I had NO IDEA what to expect. I've entertained the idea of trying something like it for a while as I have scars on my legs that make me self conscious when wearing skirts, dresses or shorts. When it came time to try out the cream, I found it's just as simple as the instructions say. Put a quarter size amount on your hands and rub in. Nothing special to it. The only thing you need to watch is that you make sure to blend in the edges. If you don't, they appear quite orange. A little bit of soap & water can fix that up easily. I used the cream on a trip to Knott's Berry Farm on a warm day. Here are the takeaways I got from that day: - You cannot feel the cream on your legs and quickly forget that it's even there - The cream does not rub off on your clothing - Although I was quite hot & sweaty, it did not "melt" - When going on water rides (resulting in me getting soaked) it did not come off All in all, I had a great experience with Sally Hansen Airbrush legs & would recommend it to anyone that wants to improve the look of their legs. One Pan Pasta

Barilla Pronto pasta is a no drain pasta. It comes in all different styles of pasta. I tried the Penne and Spaghetti pastas. Going into trying these, I had a lot of fears that it wouldn't stand up to my pasta standards... but I WANTED to like it because of its convenience factor. I actually let my 10 year old twin nieces make the pasta because they love to cook & create. Also, one of them burnt herself a few years ago while draining pasta and has since been afraid of cooking any kind of pasta. The first thing that stood out to them was how simple the instructions were. And the spaghetti noodles aren't as long as typical spaghetti noodles. They decided this was a great selling point because regular spaghetti is "too long". Aria was in charge of the spaghetti noodles & Lyette oversaw the penne. They started at the same time and put the time to 10 min's for the whole box. When it came to the time they are used to draining the pasta I said "ok, we're almost done!" and they asked where the strainer was. I reminded them "remember, we don't need to strain this pasta." They got so excited! Once the water was mostly gone, Aria went to creating her own spaghetti recipe using salsa as a "secret ingredient" while Lyette went for chicken & feta cheese. The process was so simple that they were surprised at how quickly they finished making their dishes. Next came the taste test. Not only did the 3 of us try it, so did other family members and friends. Everyone went back for seconds and thirds! When I explained that it was one step pasta and there was no need for draining, people were surprised. One person mentioned that the penne noodles (not the dish, the actual noodles) didn't taste as good as regular penne pasta, but that may have been due to not cooking the noodles long enough. All in all, the Barilla Pronto pastas are great for busy adults and children without sacrificing quality. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to others. Jadore Dessange Oleo Miracle Hair Care

I've personally used multiple different hair products in the past for my insane mane. I've got naturally curly hair that I dye on a regular basis. It's more than common for my hair to be frizzy & dry. Not too long ago I got an e-mail from Influenster telling me that I'd be receiving a VoxBox with products from Dessange. I immediately started researching Dessange and wondering what products I'd be receiving. The excitement was building. So when I finally received it I was really excited about it. (Although, in the back of my head I was wondering "is this just another hair care product that isn't going to help...?") Let's start with the Oleo Miracle Shampoo. My first impression was that I loved the smell. It almost smells like suntan lotion. So it's got a very lively scent to it. I didn't have any immediate impression of the shampoo other than the scent. My first impression of the Oleo Miracle Conditioner was that I didn't need as much conditioner as I normally use of other brands. It didn't take as much to get all my hair & yet was still creamy. It was nice to not be using massive amounts of conditioner and hoping that I wouldn't run out before I ran out of shampoo. When I first used the Oleo Miracle Replenishing Oil, I was in shock! Not only did it tame my mane and smell good, it didn't make my hair greasy/oily! And my hands weren't super oily either! The first couple of days I knew I liked the Oleo Miracle line but wasn't quite sure just how much of an impact it was having on my hair, other than my nieces telling me that my hair looked better than before. One day I was telling a friend about the line and asked her if she could tell any difference. She went to examine my hair and as she touched it she said "oh my goodness! your hair is so soft!" I felt my hair and realized that I'd missed one key improvement. My hair didn't feel dry/damaged anymore! It feels healthy! The next day I asked another friend if he could tell the difference. He also felt my hair and immediately noticed the difference! Boots No 7 Leads to Lovely Skin

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED ##GetADVANCED - Because I only received a sample size of this instead of full size, my review on this product is very limited. I did love the way that my skin felt after using it. Quite silky & smooth and no breakouts due to my sensitive skin. I can't say how much of a difference it makes in the long run, but it really did make me want to go out and buy it and give it a chance to renew my skin.
